Ramana is a tribal villager and is dependent on farming . Due to uneven rainfall in the region, Ramana has not been able to generate healthy income and sometimes have incurred heavy financial losses arising from crop failure. Based on encouragement from SankalpTaru, he has developed a cooperative water harvesting pit along with other farmers. Now SankalpTaru has recently taken a challenge to develop his fields in fruit orchard and bring significant increase in his income from farming. It is interesting to note that using agroforestry technique he will still be able to grow cereal crop and vegetables in the same fields.
