Srinivasalu is a poor villager dependent on farming activities. Four years back Srinivasalu suffered a paralytic attack and had to leave his job in the nearby town. Though crippled he didn’t give up and started farming along with his family members. Due to scanty rainfall and arid land, his income from farming has not been so healthy. He has recently developed irrigation facility for his fields. SankalpTaru has taken a challenge to develop this in a green orchard, which in addition to other environmental benefits will also provide livelihood support to Srinivasalu. It is interesting to note that using agroforestry technique he will also be able to grow cereal crop in the same field.
