Vemanna is a tribal farmer suffering from hearing disorder. His wife passed away around 5 years back and now he is raising his son and a daughter. Due to scanty rainfall and arid land, his income from farming has not been so healthy. Along with other farmers, he has recently developed irrigation facility at his fields. SankalpTaru has taken a challenge to develop his field in a green orchard, which in addition to other environmental benefits will also provide livelihood support to him. It is interesting to note that using agroforestry technique he will still be able to grow cereal crop in the same field.
