About the Project
Zodiac Mīna – Pisces is part of SankalpTaru's Community Barren Land Transformation Program,
aimed at greening barren landscapes while connecting individuals with their zodiac trees. Mango is the beloved zodiac tree of Pisces borns — a fragrant and fruitful gift that delights both nature and the senses. India's national fruit and the state tree of Maharashtra, Mango is celebrated for its ability to facilitate digestion, improve eye health, support skin and hair care, and offer an incomparable treat to the taste buds through every season of ripeness.
Planted across community barren lands, this initiative transforms ecologically degraded areas into thriving green spaces while delivering lasting environmental and community benefits.
Through this initiative, the Community Barren Land Transformation Program delivers:
- Challenging Terrain Management: Areas selected for plantation are often rough or arid, and our teams undertake complex, resource-intensive ground preparation to ensure successful tree establishment
- Water Arrangements: Sustainable water sources are established, including the installation of micro-drip irrigation systems, to ensure the survival and healthy growth of every planted tree
- Fencing & Protection: The entire plantation area is fenced with steel mesh and poles to protect trees from grazing animals and other environmental threats
- Biodiversity Promotion: Encourages ecological balance by restoring native tree cover and supporting flora and fauna across community barren landscapes
- Long-term Maintenance: Dedicated personnel from the local community or SankalpTaru staff are employed for five years to maintain and nurture the trees, ensuring their long-term survival
By supporting Zodiac Mīna – Pisces, you contribute to transforming barren lands into thriving green spaces while celebrating the rich bond between nature and human well-being.
