Our ancestors taught us the importance of living in harmony with nature. What better way to honor their memory than by giving back to the Earth? Each tree planted becomes a powerful symbol of remembrance and continuity. Plant a tree in their name, one that nurtures both the soul and the planet, creating a living legacy that will flourish for generations to come. As the tree grows, it offers oxygen to breathe, shade to rest under, and nourishment for countless living beings. It stands tall as a reminder of the values our ancestors lived by—sustainability, wisdom, resilience, and deep respect for the natural world. This simple yet profound gesture not only pays tribute to those who came before us but also restores damaged ecosystems and helps combat climate change. It’s a step toward healing the Earth while preserving cherished memories in the most meaningful, life-affirming way. By planting a tree in memory of a loved one, you are turning remembrance into renewal ensuring that their spirit lives on in every leaf, root, and branch. Together, let’s grow a greener, more connected world in honor of those who paved the way.
Due to climate change summers have been extremely hot in Gujarat. As the state’s weather is dry and has extreme weather conditions it becomes difficult to grow plants and crops that need moderate climate. Therefore, the plantation is one of the aspects that can be taken seriously to overcome problems like droughts, infertile soil, and low groundwater. By planting fruit-bearing trees under Project Leelu Cggam, you will help to create a positive and generous socio-environmental impact in the state.
Chhattisgarh is one of the richest biodiverse states of the country and is known as the rice bowl of central India, for cultivating paddy as its principal crop. As most of the farmers here practice monocropping, their livelihoods are restricted to a single source of income. To support rural farmers of Chhattisgarh, the SankalpTaru Foundation launched its project, Project Hariyar Chhattisgarh to bring relief to the farming community of the state by promoting agroforestry together with multi-cropping. The fruit-bearing trees will help the farmers to become economic resilient and encourage sustainable agriculture.
Plant trees in the memory of your loved ones. Trees are the most noble way of keeping the memories alive of the departed soul. This act will keep the fragrance of your love for your loved one alive in the nature's beauty for decades to come. This auspicious month of Pitrupaksha and Shradh, let us plant trees in memory of our ancestors.
The dry weather conditions of Andhra Pradesh attract very less annual rainfall, leading to prolonged droughts. This causes a huge agrarian crisis and extreme despair for farming communities of the state. Looking at the huge environmental value of agroforestry which also provides diversified income to farmers of Andhra Pradesh, SankalpTaru introduced Project Green Deccan. By planting fruit-bearing trees under the project, you will help to strengthen the livelihoods of the rural farmers and the biodiversity of the state.
Arunachal Pradesh, the easternmost state of India is gifted with nature’s bountiful abundance of lush forests and greenery. However its hilly topography with deep valleys poses a challenge to its farmers to access high-quality saplings. This is further compounded by the lack of technical expertise of its farmers to satisfy consumers’ expectations for more food of higher quality. The high-quality saplings of Lychee and seedless lemons are ideal for the native landscape of the state and will open new avenues for the farmers to diversify their sources of income.
The residents of Uttarakhand are already experiencing the impacts of climate change, such as changing temperatures, upward-moving snowlines, receding glaciers, erratic rainfall, reduction of snow in winter, changed cropping seasons, shifting cultivation zones for certain crops, and drying up of perennial streams, as pointed out in the state government’s action plan on climate change (SAPCC). SankalpTaru introduced Project Protect Himalayas to prevent the migration of local farmers due to adverse impacts of climate change by supporting them with agroforestry. This includes planting fruit-bearing trees in their lands to help them stabilize their livelihoods along with protecting the ecosystem of the majestic Himalayas.
Plant trees in the Holy State of India for a rich biodiversity. Agriculture in the state of Uttar Pradesh has a major share in the state gross domestic product (SGDP). However, due to climate changes and various other factors, crop failure has become a burden to the farmers, and the farmers have shifted to cash crop farming. In order to help the farmers overcome this problem, the SankalpTaru Foundation initiated Project Harit Uttar in 2020 in various districts of the state. Under this project, we aimed to plant fruit-bearing trees of Mango, Guava, Jackfruit, Lemon, Bel Patthar etc on the lands of various farmer. Since 2015, we have witnessed improvement in the livelihoods of the farmer beneficiaries. The project has become a huge success because of the contributions of our planters and we hope to make it much better with your help and support in the future too.
With growing urbanization and industrialization, the state is suffering from the loss of green cover. Moreover, the farmers in the rural areas of Jharkhand are devoid of modern ways of agriculture, thus affecting their livelihood due to climate change. The plantation of fruit-bearing saplings under Project Harit Jharkhand will help to provide vital livelihood support to the farmers of the state.
Due to unsustainable land management practices, especially deforestation and overgrazing, there has been a loss of income of tribal and rural communities as well as a reduction in the green spaces of Madhya Pradesh. By planting fruit-bearing trees for the farmers of Madhya Pradesh, you will help to provide them with an additional income through agroforestry.
It has been observed in recent years that farmers are not able to secure optimal profits by traditional means of farming due to the challenges of food insecurity, destabilization, and migration, prevalent in the state. Under Project Enrich Biodiversity, farmers are encouraged to implement intercropping with agroforestry to help replenish the lost nutrients in their soil. By planting fruit-bearing trees for the farmers, you can help them to cope better with these challenges.
Assam has been recently facing the worst flood situation in decades. The floods and landslides have affected thousands of villages and millions of people, also leading to Large-scale erosion. By planting fruit-bearing trees under Project Kheojia Assam, you will not only help to bring back life on the lands of the state but will also help the rural farmers, living in remote areas of Assam who face challenges due to poor connectivity to the mainstream market chain, sell their fresh produce locally and uplift their livelihoods.
Meghalaya is a major producer of tea and silk in the country and earns the majority of its income from the same. However, almost every year three to four waves of flood ravage the flood-prone areas of Meghalaya. Because of the unpredictable weather patterns, small land holdings, lack of infrastructure and resources, technological intervention, and poor connectivity to the mainstream market, the farmers majorly practice mono-cropping. To combat this problem, SankalpTaru Foundation initiated Project Green Meghalaya. Apart from that, these saplings act as an additional income to the poor farmers, living in the remote areas of Meghalaya because of their tendency to grow and survive in dry as well as humid climate, the fruits of which when sold locally will help to stabilize their livelihoods.
This year, let’s celebrate a Hariyali Aur Khushali Wali Diwali, a Diwali rooted in nature, compassion, and community well-being. Instead of just lighting lamps, light up lives by planting a tree; an eco-conscious gift that brings prosperity to farmers and hope to the planet.
In the orchard of life, a mother’s love is the sweetest fruit. Celebrate this nurturing bond with a gesture that echoes her enduring care and warmth. SankalpTaru Foundation invites you to honor your mother through our campaign, "Ek Ped Maa Ke Naam," by planting an Apple tree. Let this tree grow as a symbol of her love, bearing fruit that nourishes body and soul, just as she has done for you.
Tree plantation is essential for the planet's health and well-being, contributing to climate change mitigation, biodiversity, and environmental conservation. Efforts to plant and conserve trees are critical for safeguarding the planet's ecosystems and ensuring a sustainable future for all living organisms.
Monsoon is more than just a season—it’s nature’s way of breathing life back into the earth. The rains nourish the soil, awaken dormant seeds, and bring vibrant green back to our landscapes. Much like trees, the monsoon symbolizes growth, transformation, and renewal. And what better time than this season of abundance to plant a tree? When you plant a tree during the monsoon, you’re not just adding greenery—you’re becoming part of a larger story. Trees are quiet guardians of our planet. Their roots hold the earth together, preventing erosion and absorbing the generous rainfall. They replenish groundwater, purify the air, and serve as natural carbon sinks, helping to fight climate change in the most organic way. Planting in sync with the rains gives young saplings their best shot at thriving. The moisture-rich soil and steady rainfall reduce the need for artificial watering and increase survival rates dramatically. This monsoon, let’s come together to make a meaningful impact—one tree at a time. Whether it’s to honor a loved one, support a local farming community, or simply make a promise to the planet, every tree planted is a step toward a greener, healthier world. Join us in turning this season of rain into a season of hope. Let’s plant, grow, and give back to nature. Because when we care for the earth, it returns the favor in countless, beautiful ways.
To all the Cancer borns, plant a Peepal tree and rejoice holy blessings.
