Project Harit Bihar
Bihar
Plant trees in the barren lands of Bihar.
Bihar is a fertile plain in the Ganga basin but its terrain is prone to negative environmental effects. Large-scale deforestation and its unpredictable weather have led to increased barren lands posing a threat to food security. In pursuit of reviving the fertile soils and rejuvenating the land with greenery, SankalpTaru is actively planting varied fruit-bearing and native plant species on the lands of small and marginal farmers of Bihar. The project aims to support rural livelihoods, tackle changes in the natural environment, and assist sustainable farming.
