Arunachal Pradesh, the easternmost state of India is gifted with nature’s bountiful abundance of lush forests and greenery. However its hilly topography with deep valleys poses a challenge to its farmers to access high-quality saplings. This is further compounded by the lack of technical expertise of its farmers to satisfy consumers’ expectations for more food of higher quality. The high-quality saplings of Lychee and seedless lemons are ideal for the native landscape of the state and will open new avenues for the farmers to diversify their sources of income.
Since agriculture is the main source of income for the rural farmers of Tamil Nadu, every year the state’s farmers suffer crippling debts due to severe crop loss caused by an acute shortage of water during non-monsoon seasons. The situation becomes grave when farmers get trapped in debt for not repaying loans on time. By planting fruit-bearing trees under Project Pasumai, you will help uplift the livelihoods of the farmers by introducing agroforestry to their traditional way of farming.
The majority of the farmers in Haryana have been dependent on the cultivation of paddy crops which require standing water. In the absence of rainfall, they heavily depend on the groundwater tables. This has led to the depletion of groundwater and also moisture content on which the fertility of the soil depends. The plantation activity of fruit-bearing trees under Project Haryana Haritima will help to strengthen the livelihoods of the rural farmers while also helping to recharge the groundwater level and improving the quality of the soil.
Plant trees in the Holy State of India for a rich biodiversity. Agriculture in the state of Uttar Pradesh has a major share in the state gross domestic product (SGDP). However, due to climate changes and various other factors, crop failure has become a burden to the farmers, and the farmers have shifted to cash crop farming. In order to help the farmers overcome this problem, the SankalpTaru Foundation initiated Project Harit Uttar in 2020 in various districts of the state. Under this project, we aimed to plant fruit-bearing trees of Mango, Guava, Jackfruit, Lemon, Bel Patthar etc on the lands of various farmer. Since 2015, we have witnessed improvement in the livelihoods of the farmer beneficiaries. The project has become a huge success because of the contributions of our planters and we hope to make it much better with your help and support in the future too.
Agriculture is a leading occupation in Uttar Pradesh where most of the farmers practice monocropping. Due to erratic weather conditions and irregular rainfall patterns, many farmers end up being indebted as their source of earnings is sabotaged due to crop failure. To provide these marginal farmers with an additional source of income, SankalpTaru started Project Green Shivalik by planting fruit-bearing trees that has been transforming potentially cultivable lands into lush green fruit orchards and farms.
Plant Trees for a Greener and Cooler Pune City.
Farmers in Telangana have been facing multiple challenges due to changing weather conditions creating a situation of severe drought, lack of ground water irrigation sources, and extreme indebtedness for a while now. To help these rural farmers secure a stable source of income, SankalpTaru started Project Pachadhanam by planting high- quality, fruit bearing trees on their fields to help them get better profits in the coming years.
Due to climate change summers have been extremely hot in Gujarat. As the state’s weather is dry and has extreme weather conditions it becomes difficult to grow plants and crops that need moderate climate. Therefore, the plantation is one of the aspects that can be taken seriously to overcome problems like droughts, infertile soil, and low groundwater. By planting fruit-bearing trees under Project Leelu Chham, you will help to create a positive and generous socio-environmental impact in the state.
Himachal has tremendous potential for the cultivation of many highly valued agricultural produce. However the lack of high-quality saplings, inaccessibility to agricultural infrastructure, scattered land holdings, and transportation difficulty unable the rural farmers from making optimum profits for their livelihood. By planting high-quality saplings of fruit-bearing trees for the local farmers under Project Harit Himachal, you will help them earn higher returns for their living.
Due to unsustainable land management practices, especially deforestation and overgrazing, there has been a loss of income of tribal and rural communities as well as a reduction in the green spaces of Madhya Pradesh. By planting fruit-bearing trees for the farmers of Madhya Pradesh, you will help to provide them with an additional income through agroforestry.

Efforts to plant and conserve trees are critical for safeguarding the planet's ecosystems and ensuring a sustainable future for all living organisms.
Plastic pollution is suffocating our planet. From city streets to remote oceans, microplastics are now everywhere—in our food, water, and even the air we breathe. This year’s World Environment Day 2025 theme, “Combating Plastic Pollution,” calls for urgent and united action. Environmental restoration starts with simple yet meaningful steps. Planting trees, for example, not only provides clean air but also filters pollutants, improves soil health, and supports ecosystems that can buffer the impact of plastic waste. On June 5th, let’s move beyond words and take real steps to reconnect with nature. Whether you’re looking to reduce your plastic footprint or contribute to a more sustainable future, every tree planted becomes a symbol of hope and resilience. Individual and collective efforts can restore biodiversity, clean our environment, and reduce the climate effects of pollution. Let’s commit to cleaning up—not just our habits, but our habitats. This World Environment Day, take action and be part of the change. Because real impact takes root when we do.

Make Your Generosity Go Further with Tax-Free Giving
It has been observed in recent years that farmers are not able to secure optimal profits by traditional means of farming due to the challenges of food insecurity, destabilization, and migration, prevalent in the state. Under Project Enrich Biodiversity, farmers are encouraged to implement intercropping with agroforestry to help replenish the lost nutrients in their soil. By planting fruit-bearing trees for the farmers, you can help them to cope better with these challenges.
